O Cristo de Balneário Camboriú foi construído em 1997, possui 33 metros e segura um canhão de luz de 6,6 mil watts, o qual simboliza o sol e gira em um ângulo de 180°. Essa rotação significa a luz do caminho da fé. O complexo conta com diversos atrativos, entre eles bares, restaurantes, lanchonetes, lojas e uma gruta em homenagem à Nossa Senhora Aparecida, além do Memorial de Artes Sacras, composto por belíssimas réplicas das vestes usadas na última visita de Bento XVI ao país pelo próprio papa, por bispos e padres.
